Reptile Day!
Saturday, April 26th, 2003

Reptile enthusiasts bounce from table to table throughout the morning

On Saturday, April 26, 2003 CCARI, The Charlotte Nature Museum, The North Carolina Wildlife Federation, Mecklenburg Division of Natural Resources and Davidson College hosted REPTILE DAY at the Blanche Knox Parker Garden on the campus of Davidson College. The day proved to be a huge success as approximately 500 people of all ages attended the event.

Visitors were introduced to the reptiles and amphibians native to the Metrolina area; they also learned about helpful identification tips, habitat types and current conservation efforts.

Visitors were encouraged to touch or hold many of the animals, which included several species of salamanders, snakes, turtles, frogs and toads.
